John Johansen denounces postmodernism, deconstructivism, and their “culprits,” i.e. Charles Moore, Robert Venturi, Michael Graves, Peter Eisenman, Frank O. Gehry, Robert A. M. Stern, and the “ring master” Philip Johnson. Johansen discusses organics as a new world view that could not be “put aside by smart-ass designers.” He describes his vision for a new architecture where form and structure are determined by process, an experimental architecture with the potential for self-regulation, and symbiosis.
