This video contains two different events.
1. Ray Kappe introduces Herb Kahn. Kahn discusses his work on the circulation distribution program for the Community Redevelopment Agency. Kahn discusses various issues related to the planning of public transportation in the central business district of downtown Los Angeles. Kahn discusses issues of funding, compatibility between different agencies, and probable nodes of interactivity. Kahn answers questions from the audience.
2. Starting at 1:18:28, two speakers present a lecture on Arcosanti, the experimental town instigated by Paolo Soleri in the Arizona desert. Previously recorded interviews with Soleri are played over a slide show. This is followed by a live interview (with Soleri?) on the importance of planning, foresight and the ability to project.
The interview is cut short by the end of the tape.
