Celia Pearce: Virtual Reality & architecture as a narrative art (1996)01:22:47

As part of SCI-Arc’s Friday Noon Lecture Series, Celia Pearce discusses virtual reality and architecture a narrative art. She describes how multimedia applications are thought in terms of experience, and discusses examples of story telling in architecture. She presents four videos of different kinds of virtual reality experiences. Pearce responds to questions about linear and non-linear experiences, the ability of film to manipulate time, and how new media creates a new story telling paradigm.
