Michael Rotondi identifies himself to the graduating class of 2012 as a member of SCI-Arc's first graduating class, in 1973. He tells them that they, and their family and friends represent the upside of evolution. They are part of a social and educational experiment that began forty years ago. He urges them to see their SCI-Arc experience as the beginning of a life-long creative trajectory, which can be sustained by aspiration and faith. While encouraging the graduates to go out and remake the world, he reminds them to call home occasionally.
