SCI-Arc’s 2026 Undergraduate Thesis brings together bold ideas, speculative proposals and fearless debate in an immersive event marking the culmination of five years of design exploration. Guided by Undergraduate Thesis Coordinator Maxi Spina, fifth-year B.Arch students present their final projects to an audience of more than 80 jurors, critics and architecture professionals.
This year’s projects move through questions of site, ecology, environment, typology and tectonics: vertical farms reorganizing the territory between culture and nature, circular material systems answering our housing and ecological crises, and acts of architectural repair that destabilize inherited structures of power and visibility.
This film captures both the intensity and vitality of the reviews: sweeping timelapses of the exhibition, meticulous model details, spontaneous moments of exchange and the electric atmosphere of final critique. “Charged Fields” immerses viewers in the moment where architecture’s future is negotiated, debated and reimagined, not as a conclusion but as a problem that keeps speaking, and a new generation of designers now fluent enough to answer back.
