Michel Rojkind : The power to imagine, in a culture losing depth and meaning (February 11, 2026)58:30

After Winka Dubbeldam’s introduction, Michel Rojkind critiques contemporary global culture as “casinofied”, with spectacle replacing depth and authenticity. He calls for creative resistance that can “reconnect with its roots, prioritizing meaning over entertainment, regeneration over extraction, and community over individualism.”
He refers back to these ideas while discussing several works by Rojkind Arquitectos:
• Cineteca Nacional film center, Mexico City (2012)
• Ledger office building, Bentonville (2022) Collaboration with Marlon Blackwell Architects, and Callaghan Horiuchi, with art by Stefan Sagmeister.
• Pictograma Winery, Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California (2026)
• Chedraui grocery store, Santa Fe, Mexico City (2013)
• Two houses: Casa Roca, Los Cabos (to be completed later in 2026) & Casa Pasiddhi, Atizapán (2022)
• Four projects in Albania: Residential and hotel towers, Durrës; Hënë hotel, Dhërmi; Komuna residential tower, Tirana; Kor mixed-use towers, Tirana
• Foro Boca concert hall and breakwater renovation, Boca del Río, Veracruz (2014-7)
