SCI-Arc welcomes Aurelie Hachez, Founding Principal of AHA, to the Keck lecture stage. Hachez’s work engages projects of different scales including furniture design, interior renovation and the construction of new spaces and buildings, mostly in the rural and urban context of Belgium. Her lecture “The Way we Look at Things” will focus on projects with a site-sensitive approach that leads the thought process to take advantage of different contexts. The lecture will show how curiosity and admiration for everyday life situations and ordinary spaces, such as domestic environments, may present qualitative opportunities when designing a project.
